The Naked and Famous - The Sun Video (NSFW)

I love this band, I love this video, I love this track.

The Naked and Famous, a fairly new indie band from New Zealand, have just released a video for their single "The Sun", which is from their debut album Passive Me, Aggressive You.  It's available now on Universal Records (make sure you check it out if you haven't already heard it).

Special Problems are the masterminds behind this brilliantly arty, soft-core porn music video - which fits kinda well with the name of the band. They are also the company behind the video for their track "Girls Like You", which is an equally great video, and in my opinion, an even better track!

Check them both out below.

Note: The video for "The Sun' is a tad explicit, so be careful where you watch it.

Peter Wolf Crier 'Settling It Off' Free Download

Peter Wolf Crier have just released 'Settling it off', a new track from their forthcoming album Garden of Arms. This is the first thing I've heard from the Minneapolis duo, but the track has made a great first impression leaving me wanting to hear more.

Peter Wolf Crier’s second album, Garden of Arms, will be released on September 6th on Jagjaguwar. You can listen to the track below or download it for free here.

Bombay Bicycle Club Bibio Remix

'Shuffle' by Bombay Bicycle Club has really grown on me over the last couple of weeks, so it was a pleasant surprise to discover that Bibio has done an excellent remix of this very track - check it out below.

Bombay Bicycle Club release their next LP, 'A Differen't Kind of Fix' this month on Universal Records.

Stream the Blood Orange LP

I couldn't get Sutphin Boulevard out of my head when I first heard it several weeks ago. Not that this is a bad thing, I can think of far worse melodies to have knocking around ones head. But now the album can be streamed it seems I will be incessantly humming a good few more of Dev Hynes' catchy eightiesesque gems.

I'm Sorry We Lied is definitely one of these tracks. It features a surprising Foals/Battles influence with its plucky palm-muted guitars fueling the tracks sense of urgency.

The album is released today on Domino.

CLOCK OPERA - BELONGINGS

Clock Opera are doing some interesting things working some Philip Glass/minimalist style ideas into a pop/rock sort of setting. Their debut EP 'Belongings' is out now on Moshi Moshi, check out the official video below. There are also a couple more tracks up on their myspace. Clock Opera supported Yeasayer on their UK dates last summer, and have been steadily forging a second career as remix artists. You can listen to their excellent remix of Everything Everything's 'My KZ, Yr BF' here

Feist. Metals.

Don't let the title fool you - she has not had a drastic third album genre crisis and recorded a doom-metal album in Scandinavia. Instead, Feist has just announced that she will be back in the Autumn with a new full-length entitled Metals. We could sense something was going on when, out of nowhere, a bizarre black and white video appeared recently on her website - odd, we all thought.

The Canadian singer-songwriter may not be a massive household name, but anyone who has ever seen an advert for a mobile phone network or an ipod will have found it hard to avoid hearing her instantly catchy melodies.

Metals will be released by Cherrytree and Interscope on October 4th. Below is a snippet from one of the recording sessions for the album. If this was intended to whet my appetite - mission accomplished.
