The Shins release 'Simple Song'

As a taster ahead of their forthcoming album 'Port of Morrow', which comes out on 20 March, the Shins released a new song today. 'Simple Song' is... well. It seems to be the same as with the latest Band of Horses album, 'Infinite Arms': It's just not as good as it used to be.

Everybody in their right mind will agree that 'New Slang' and 'Pink Bullets' (or 'Australia' or 'Caring is Creepy') are incredible songs. But 'Simple Song' begs to be labled as simply not that great...

Either way, if you used to love the Shins, give it a listen. It might change your life. Or it might not.

Mister Heavenly - Bronx Sniper

Ok, so this is one of the more disturbing videos I have seen this year. It's a twisted Odd Future style anarchistic smashing spree with a touch of child disembowelment thrown in for good measure. If that doesn't rouse your interest, well, I don't know what will.

For those of you unaware, Mister Heavenly is the indie-rock supergroup featuring Honus Honus of Man Man, Nicholas Thorburn of Islands and The Unicorns, and Joe Plummer of Modest Mouse and The Shins.
