The Rapture & Foster The People - Out Today

September 5th, what a day for great releases - too many to discuss, but here's 2 that you need to check out.
The first is the brand new album from The Rapture titled In The Grace of Your Love, out today on DFA Records. It sounds pretty good after only one listen, which you can stream in full over at Soundcloud. You can also check out the video for the track "How Deep Is Your Love?" below - it has a very low budget, homemade feel to it, but I guess it's quite original at the same time. Although, it's a shame they didn't feed the sound into the camera, as the sound quality is pretty shitty (listen to the CD quality version at Soundcloud - much nicer on the ears).
Next we have an excellent single from Foster The People, "Helena Beat". I've not heard anything else form these guys before but after discovering this I NEED to hear more as soon as possible! This track has a real MGMT vibe to it which I'm totally loving. Check out the very cool video below, quite a contrast to the one above. If you like what you hear you can buy it here, released today on Startime International.
Among the other great releases today are:
- Ghostpoet's Mercury nominated album, Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam, out today on Brownswood Recordings - buy it here.
- DJ Shadow's "I'm Excited" single out today on Island Records - buy it here.
