Youth Lagoon - 'Goodbye Again' (John Denver cover) - Free download!

About a week ago Trevor Powers, better known as Youth Lagoon, recorded a cover of the late John Denver live on Sirius Radio XMU. It's a superb cover that I'm sure fans and newcomers will appreciate. If you have heard his recent release The Year of Hibernation, the first thing you will notice is just how clear his voice is in comparison. Download the track free from here.

Seattle songwriter Mike Hadreas (aka Perfume Genius) has confirmed that next year he will be back with his second LP Put Your Back N 2 It. Matador records has assured everyone that this record will address 'intimacy, power, family, secrecy and hope' through his music as well as the emotive lyrics we are used to. Gonjasufi - 'Nikels And Dimes'- Free download!

After the release of his The Ninth Inning EP just last month, Gonjasufi is back with yet another free audio treat for us. On January 24th, Sufi will release a mini LP titled MU.ZZ.LE via Warp Records. "Nikels & Dimes" is one of the tracks from the forthcoming LP, and it's free to download in return for your email address - pretty good trade if you ask me. You can't go wrong with a bit of Sufi - love this guys work.

Gonjasufi - 'Demonchild' Video and Free EP Download

If you like trippy music videos then this is for you. I love the weird fish-type creatures with the head of Sufi, swimming around the incredibly bizarre animated world populated by naked female torsos, eyeballs and creepy CGI faces. How do people come up with this stuff? I love it. This awesome video was directed and animated by Meriem Bennani.

College Ft. Electric Youth - 'Real Hero' (Michna Edit) - Free Download!

For those of you that have seen the movie Drive, you'll undoubtedly remember the track "Real Hero" by French outfit College - a track that's regarded as the most memorable from the movie.

Well, here's a pretty good remix from Brooklyn producer Michna, which you can can listen to below - or download for free here. Michna has removed the vocals (personally one of my favourite parts of the original) and beefed up the drums to make it more accessible for the dance floor! I'd certainly make a few shapes to this if I heard it in a club.
